Write for us
We welcome well-shaped proposals about northern travel that help readers notice a route, landscape, season or place in a fresh and useful way. Send your idea through the Contact page.
What we welcome
We are interested in original, reader-focused pieces about northern journeys, route choices, landscape and seasonal character, settlements and the details that affect how a day of travel feels. A proposal may explain, compare, give context or offer a carefully bounded planning approach.
What makes a strong pitch
Tell us the working title, central idea, intended reader and why the subject suits Northern Travel Review. Include the key points you would cover, the kind of sources or material you would use, and any relevant experience without overstating it. A focused angle is more useful than a broad topic.
Sending a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then make clear that your message is a contribution proposal. Please send a pitch rather than a complete article unless we have requested a draft. We cannot promise acceptance or publication.
A journey is made of more than miles
We believe the way through a place matters as much as the place at the end. Good travel writing makes room for detail, context and a pace that lets the landscape register.
